ESTEROS DEL IBERÁ, MISIONES AND IGUAZU FALLS
An incredible journey into a magical and unique region. Nature in all its glory, will prsent you with beautiful scenery. You will come face to face with the wildlife and local cuisine and, above all, Esteros del Ibera and one of the Seven Wonders of the World: The Iguazú Waterfalls.
DAY 1: BUENOS AIRES/POSADAS/ESTEROS DEL IBERÁ
From Argentina’s capital, you will arrive at the Corrientes province, landing at the airport of Posadas, where we will be waiting to take you by private escort to the Esteros del Ibera, where you’ll start this wonderful experience. You will be in the town of Carlos Pellegrini or Puerto Valle, a cozy lodge will open its doors to you for a comfortable and relaxing stay in the coming days.
After settling in and getting some rest, you can take walks around the surrounding area close to the lodge. Later on and once returned, you will have time to relive and comment on the journey while enjoying a delicious dinner, before sleeping surrounded by the amazing nature.
DAY 2: ESTEROS DEL IBERÁ
After an energizing breakfast, you will set sail for a safari boat. You will visit the Interpretation Centre where you will receive information about the heritage of the place: the plant and wildlife, as well as the customs of the local people. In this way, you’ll learn and understand in more detail the surroundings with which you are interacting, making this an even more valuable experience. You will return to the hotel at lunchtime and then you rest, before leaving in the afternoon to trace the Colony and the Palmares, a ride that will allow you to enjoy the landscape in a different way. At night, a good dinner will wait you as will the necessary rest under the Guarani skies.
DAY 3: ESTEROS DEL IBERÁ
After breakfast to the sounds of nature as background music, will depart towards the Iberá Lagoon, where you will embark on another safari tour that allows you to find and closely admire the native animals of the region such as capybaras, alligators, water wolves and a variety of typical, local birds. This amazing show will be the certain topic of conversation over lunch, to be held at the hotel. This third afternoon of the trip is completely at your disposal to enjoy the place doing whatever you wish. When the sun goes down, dinner and rest await you for this last night on the Esteros del Iberá.
DAY 4: ESTEROS DEL IBERÁ/THE SAN IGNACIO RUINS/WANDA MINES/IGUAZÚ
After breakfast we leave the lodge en route to Puerto Iguazú, on the way we will stop at the famous Misiones Jesuíticas Guaraníes, that are located in Posadas. The history of this missionary stronghold dates back to the seventeenth century, when the Catholic religious order of the Society of Jesus founded it in order to evangelize the Guarani Indians of the place and the surrounding towns. Once you have roamed through the ruins, which – along with so many others – are testimony to the passage of the Jesuits in the region, you will be led to the Wanda Mines. In this field of semiprecious stones located below an open sky above the Paraná River , you will find samples of quartz crystals, amethyst, agate and topaz. After the glittering experience of the mines, you will continue your trip to Puerto Iguazu, a city where you will stay. Restful sleep will prepare you for the unforgettable day awaits you upon waking, when you will visit the monumental falls that form part of the seven natural wonders of the world.
DAY 5: THE IGUAZÚ FALLS(ARGENTINA)
This day you will visit the famous and impressive Iguazú National Park. Due to its large size, it will take all day to cross it. You will perform the upper and lower circuits, where you will find yourself with different jumps in the park. Furthermore, you will walk along the path enabled to reach the Devil’s Throat station, a spectacular viewpoint from which you can contemplate the most important and mighty jump from the Iguazú Falls. Immortalizing the majestic picture with your camera you will find an irresistible action. In the afternoon, you return to the hotel in Iguazú, to host you once again.
DAY 6: BRAZILIAN FALLS/ IGUAZÚ AIRPORT
The last breakfast in missionary lands will remind you of this wonderderful adventure as it draws to an end. However, there is still the icing on the cake: cross the Brazilian border to visit the Iguazú National Park, where you will enjoy a privileged view of one of the most spectacular Saltos Argentinos. And with those unforgettable images, then on to take your flight from Iguazú Airport, accompanying you to Buenos Aires or to your next destination.
